CER GmbH is a research and consulting company that specializes in elements of the circular economy that go beyond the return of raw materials to the production cycle.
From 2019 to 2022, CER GmbH was involved in a BMBF-funded project entitled “EffizientNutzen – Datenbasierte Geschäftsmodelle für die Kaskadennutzung und verlängerte Produktnutzung von Elektro(nik)produkten”. The work resulted in various publications by Klaus Hieronymi and Hans-Jochen Lückefett on the market conditions for the second and third use of ICT products, the cross-border movement of used devices and the imposition of copyright levies on used devices.
